WHAT is Colleagues in Trading ?
Colleagues in Trading is the resulting collaborative effort of traders and providers working together to find ways to educate and empower ALL levels of traders across ALL markets. Forming a non-profit organization, in September 2005, the founders will continue their goals to provide a 'safe haven' for all traders and the high-integrity providers of services and products.
In May, 2004, the group started as Cornerstone Investors' Network, of Southern California. With the moral support from Cornerstone founders Michael Norris, and Mark Anderson, Sharon & Rob molded their own vision into a cohesive goal for all area traders: a place where they could all meet, learn, share and provide support for the various endeavors they pursue and endure. Rob and Sharon believe there is more in common, with successful traders, than there is difference! They are set on a course to eliminate 'hype' from their speakers and products introduced and, instead, to apply sound business validation and reasoning to all. They are seeking large numbers and a wide variety of traders in order to both sustain a superior venue in which to 'share' these wonderful opportunities and in order to have sufficient variety for all to find someone with similar interests...every meeting.
The name change to Colleagues in Trading was undertaken with the move to a non-profit. It is unique and distinguishing, and accurately reflects the view of 'total' integration....The goal is consistent attendance and interest from trader's who choose to do much of 'their own' thinking, analyses and 'trading'. Traders whose only interest lies in the 'social' aspect of meetings will find the breakouts and LeBeau Reference Library of interest. There SHOULD be something for everyone!
Topics intended to be covered include all markets, all platforms, various newsletters, online clubs, etc.
With time, Sharon and Rob are becoming increasingly aware that the 'trick of the trade' is in the management of it...maybe more than the selection of it! To that end, the focus on good money management and personal sizing is consistent.
The Traders' Life Cycle (TLC) has been developed to assist traders (and others) in locating cost-effective support for their particular needs. See TLC.
Venues may rotate from campus to campus with National University (or others, as needed.) Computer labs will be held for specific platform training. Remote connections can make sharing speakers and information easy. Car Pools and transportation are available.
Please, come join us...see who we are; tell us what you like and what you don't! We can't be all things...but we can try to guide you to all the things YOU need to be a successful trader...and NOT take your money in the process!
